Leeds United looked to be cruising at the break, having taken a 2-0 lead through Tarik Muharemovic and a rapid Brenden Aaronson strike just after the restart, but Chelsea's wholesale halftime changes - throwing on Reece James, Pedro Neto, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers together - transformed the game within minutes. Palmer scored twice in quick succession either side of the hour mark, Neto and Danny Welbeck added further goals, and suddenly Chelsea led 4-2 having scored four times in seventeen second-half minutes. Dominic Calvert-Lewin's finish threatened a Leeds revival at 4-3, but Valentin Barco and a late Welbeck second sealed a 6-3 win that swung heavily on Chelsea's bench impact. Despite Leeds edging shots (17-13) and corners (5-2), Chelsea's clinical edge - and a fully reshaped attacking unit - proved decisive in a genuine goalfest.
