Leiston
Grays AthleticLeiston wasted no time asserting themselves, going ahead through Harvey Sayer inside ten minutes before Adam Mills took over the show. Mills struck twice before the half-hour mark, turning a comfortable lead into a rout, and Grays Athletic never looked capable of finding an answer defensively. The second half was a formality once Mills completed his hat-trick just after the restart, and a fifth goal a minute later ended any pretense of a contest. For Leiston, sitting second in their table with strong recent form, this is exactly the kind of statement cup performance that builds momentum, while Grays Athletic, already lacking star quality and prestige on paper, will need to regroup quickly before their next league test.
