Crowborough Athletic vs Wimborne Town - FA Cup

A cagey goalless first half gave way to a dramatic finish as Wimborne Town's penalty on 59 minutes broke the deadlock before Crowborough Athletic hit back almost immediately through a 70th-minute equaliser. The response from Wimborne was emphatic, restoring their lead just four minutes later to settle the tie in their favour. Crowborough will rue failing to build on the momentum of their leveller, undone by a lack of defensive composure at the crucial moment. For Wimborne, the result keeps their cup run alive and will provide a timely confidence boost given their underdog billing against a side with greater prestige and home advantage.
