Outstanding performance

PSG dominated territorially from the first whistle, racking up 73% possession and 22 shots, and looked set for a comfortable afternoon after Beraldo's 19th-minute penalty following a VAR-awarded handball. But Le Mans, for all their 17 fouls and defensive toil, stunned the hosts through Louis Mafouta's close-range finish just after the restart, a goal that survived its own VAR check. That equaliser forced Luis Enrique into an immediate quadruple change, throwing on Kvaratskhelia, Vitinha, Fabián Ruiz and Zaïre-Emery, and the gamble paid off instantly as Kvaratskhelia struck within two minutes of entering. Akliouche added a third from a Zaïre-Emery assist to settle matters, with PSG's superior quality eventually overwhelming a Le Mans side that competed hard but managed just 3 shots on target from 11 attempts.
How entertaining was this match?
PSG return from the international break looking to make it three straight league wins, but a confident Le Mans side—unbeaten in three and boasting a strong away record—could make life uncomfortable at the Parc des Princes. It's PSG's first home league meeting with the Sarthe club since 2010, adding a nostalgic edge to the Matchday 6 clash.
