Independiente
Independiente sit a solid 5th but just crashed back to earth with a 4-1 hammering by Instituto.
A 4-1 defeat to Instituto snapped any momentum after a solid run that included wins over Unión Santa Fe and Central Córdoba. Gabriel Ávalos remains the attacking focal point with 11 goals and 5 assists, but defensive lapses have crept in despite 8 clean sheets this season. With a +4 goal difference and a patchy five-game stretch, Independiente are mid-table solid but far from consistent.
