New York City
New York City's playoff hopes are slipping away, with just one win in their last five and a fresh loss to Chicago Fire.
NYCFC's playoff push is stalling at the worst time, falling to Chicago Fire 1-2 in a match with real postseason stakes. Injuries have piled up, with Alonso Martínez still out since ACL surgery, though the club bolstered its backline by adding Matt Miazga off waivers. Nicolás Fernández Mercau remains the lone bright spot with 15 goals, but with just one win in ten matches, 10th place looks precarious.
